Zaafran Moroccan & Indian Cuisine Restaurant

Been meaning to come here for some time! Super glad we did it’s absolutely fantastic! We went and dined on a very busy Friday night, from the moment we arrived the young lady serving us gave exceptional service with a smile! Although she was under pressure filling the busy takeout orders we were served very quickly with drinks whilst awaiting our meals. I must say the meal exceeded what we thought not only delicious but fabulous serving portions whilst not costing half your groceries for the week! They have a loyalty card which I think is great in this day and age. Was lovely to have whom I think was the owner personally come check on us and thank us for coming. Hard to find anywhere nowadays that will make you feel this welcome. Many thanks you’ve just gained 2 more regulars I will spread the word! This is the best restaurant in Kaiapoi. The food is always delicious- especially the Indian Delight Meal for Two. Best butter chicken as well. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the service is always quick. Highly recommend- it’s our favourite place to go for dinner in Kaiapoi!

This place is the best!! We were returning home after a long drive back from the west coast and this was the place the kids chose & but did they choose well! The $24 souvlaki special was right up their alley & filled them up which is hard to do some days! The freshness of the food was outstanding and the flavour delicious! The atmosphere in this place is great - blankets to keep you warm and cosy seating. There weren’t many others dining in but there were plenty of orders coming and going! We came here many years ago and loved it and this visit certainly didn’t disappoint! Entertainment book discount was a cherry on the top but we would’ve happily paid full price too!

We normally have Zaafran takeaway/delivery but dined in tonight. It was a completely different experience and makes their great food even better. Presentation was great, food fresh and tasty. Will be coming back to eat in more often

Zaafran is an awesome spot for dinner! My friends and I have come a couple of times now and even though there’s so much on the menu we get the same thing every time because it’s too good! The curries are excellent and the spice levels are great. The service is incredible, our lovely waitress is so personable she makes the dining experience that much better and is part of the reason we keep coming back! Thanks Zaafran!

My friends and I recently indulged in the Feast Platter at this delightful restaurant. Designed for two, it easily satisfied the appetites of four with its generous portions. The experience was nothing short of delectable – each dish on the platter was a burst of flavor, and the onion bhajee was particularly outstanding, both delicious and filling. This establishment is a top choice for an enjoyable evening with friends, offering the best Moroccan cuisine in the South Island. Highly recommended!

We had dinner at Zaafran today, and it was amazing! It’s a true paradise, also for vegetarians, with so many great options to choose from. On top of that, the service was super friendly, and the atmosphere was just perfect. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely love this restaurant. Love the interior decor, amazing and attentive staffs with great service, and the food is spotless. Highly recommend to dine in and enjoy the vibe. Will visit again!
